Why is Golfsoft leased rather than available for outright purchase?
There are two main reasons why Golfsoft is leased rather than sold for a fixed price. The first is to make it more affordable to Golf Clubs - we understand that most Clubs operate within tight budgets and so a small monthly payment plan is far more feasible than a large one off purchase price. The second reason is that leasing the system makes it easy for us to release updates to our customers and to provide ongoing maintenance and support. This way everyone benefits from new features as and when they are released.

How long does it take to get our Club's site up and running using Golfsoft?
This varies depending on how much content your site will have, or has currently. Typically though the design process takes between 3 to 5 days and then the integration of Golfsoft and website content takes roughly a further 4 days. After this we recommend that we allocate 1 day for training although half a day is often enough.

What technology does Golfsoft use?
Golfsoft is built using Microsoft technology and uses either a MS Access or MySQL Server database. A MS SQL Server version will soon be available.

I have some ideas/improvements which I'd like to recommend. Can I put them forward?
Absolutely yes! We value any feedback from our customers as to how you think Golfsoft is working for you and we consider all suggestions seriously. New ideas are investigated fully and those we believe will work well in the system are added to our development lists and scheduled. We may even contact you to discuss your ideas and then ask you to perform some early testing on your idea before it is released.

Is there a .NET version of Golfsoft available?
Currently no, but we are already planning our next major release which may utilise the .NET framework, however there are no firm schedules at this stage.

Why can I not see the video when viewing the Golf School Video Library?
If you are unable to see the video then there are two possible reasons. The first is that you may not have Flash Player installed on your PC/Mac. You should double check this by visiting the Macromedia website. The other possibility is that you may not have the most up to date Flash Player installed. A typical symptom of this might be that you can hear the audio but not see the video. The Golf School Video Library utilises some of the most up-to-date features available in Flash and as such requires a minimum of Flash Player version 8 to run successfully.

Can you make my new Golfsoft website look exactly like my current site?
It may not be possible to 'exactly' match your existing website structure when we implement Golfsoft due to the potential differences in functionality and technical specifications which can occur between our system and your current one. If you are happy with your current website design and don't require our design services we will aim to match as close as possible your existing 'look and feel' and site structure. If there are any issues which arrise during the implementation process we will notify you as soon as they become apparent.
